In which reports can an alert be created?

All native reports available in Analytics > Media Analytics > Attribution
All native reports available in Analytics > Analytics
The Site Report as a whole

Setting up the alert

To create an alert, first select a native report (for example, the Global Summary report):
  • Right-click on the dimension (the "row") of the results table for which you want to configure the alert (mailing dimension in the example below)
  • Click on "Alert Management" then "Add an alert on the item in this report"

Parameters to be filled in:

  • Alert is active: Yes/No. Allows the alert to be activated or deactivated.
  • Alert Name: Free Entry
  • Metric to monitor: Select the metric you are interested in from the drop-down list.
Important: Only metrics that are active in the report will be displayed in the drop-down list. If the metric you are interested in is not displayed, add it to the list of active metrics by clicking on the 3 vertical dots at the top right of the results table and then on "Choose your metrics".
  • Check Frequency: Select from the drop-down list the verification frequency of the alert. 3 values are possible:
  • Daily: The rule is checked once a day
  • Every hour: The rule is checked every hour
  • Every Monday: The rule is checked once a week
  • Data period: Define the period over which you want to analyze the data.
  • Previous time: The data is compared to H -1.
  • Previous time: The current time data is compared to the same time slot but D-1.
  • Yesterday: Compare to D-1.
  • Last week: Data is compared with S-1 from Monday to Sunday.
  • Rolling week: The data is compared with the last 7 days. So if the alert is triggered on the 10th of the month, the comparison period runs from the 3rd to the 9th.
  • Rolling month: The data is compared with the last 30 days.
  • Trigger Conditions: The trigger condition is evaluated over the defined data period at each new check. The alert email is sent if the condition is met.
  • To add a condition, click Add then select a rule and associate a number with it.
4 rules are available:
  • is above the value: If you set an alert checked every hour on the click metric of the sponsored link lever, you can be alerted with this rule when the traffic from this lever exceeds a certain threshold.
  • is below the value: As with the previous rule, we compare the absolute value. This rule can, for example, alert you if your sales fall below a certain threshold.
  • has a difference greater than (%): This time the comparison is relative, if you have selected all the hours and previous hours for example, we compare the current time with H-1 and the alert is triggered if H-0 is greater than H-1 by X%
  • has a difference less than (%): This rule is identical to the previous one but checks for the inverse relationship. The alert is triggered if the selected metric is X% lower between the periods being compared.
